The air operated double diaphragm pumps is a self-priming volumetric unit driven by compressed air, designed for the safe and efficient transfer of various types of fluids, including those with medium/high viscosity or containing solid particles.
The operation is based on two flexible membranes connected by a central shaft, which move alternately inside two opposite chambers.
The compressed air, managed by an automatic pneumatic valve, pushes a membrane causing the expulsion of the fluid, while the other membrane retracts, sucking the liquid into the opposite chamber.
A system of ball valves or clapet valves coordinates the suction and delivery phases, ensuring a continuous and pulsating flow.
Pumps with material compliance according to FDA CFR Title 21 requirements for food-contact applications. Manufactured in electropolished AISI 316 with polymer components in contact made of PTFE. Sizes available from 3/8 up to 3 inches, with flow rates ranging from 20 to 1050 l/min.
